TAMPA, FLA., March 6, 2023 – The USF sailing team took fifth place out of six teams in a highly competitive round-robin style race at the Phoebe Corcoran Team Race Saturday and Sunday in Charleston, SC.
The field consisted of three teams ranked in the top 15 nationally, including No. 5 Stanford, No. 7 Coast Guard, and the host team No. 14 Charleston.
Conditions were perfect with 8-15 knot winds all weekend. The Bulls finished the weekend with a 4-11 record, beating out Jacksonville University who completed the weekend with a 2-13 record. Stanford took honors in the competition with a perfect 15-0 record for the weekend.

About USF Sailing
The USF sailing program has reached the national finals in seven of the last eight years. The Bulls finished in the top 10 during the 2012 and 2013 seasons. The sailing team is based out of St. Petersburg and led by head coach Allison Jolly, a former USA Olympian and 2016 Florida Sports Hall of Fame inductee.
