TAMPA, Fla. (September 7, 2023) – The University of South Florida women's soccer team returned to the friendly confines of Corbett Stadium for a non-conference match with Florida College on Thursday.
Georgia Brown tied a USF program record with four goals as the Bulls knocked off the Falcons 13-0.
The Bulls improved to 3-3 on the year, while the Falcons fell to 0-4-1.
USF came out of the gate strong and scored two goals in the first two minutes of play. Brown notched the first goal, while
Anna Sutter picked up the second. South Florida continued to attack and scored seven more goals before the end of the first half. The Bulls held the Falcons to zero shots in the opening stanza as USF took a 9-0 lead into the break.
South Florida added to the tally in the second half as
Regan Kelly found the back of the net just 33 seconds into the half.
Micahela Hill recorded two of the final three goals for USF as the Bulls claimed a 13-0 victory.
The South Florida defense was stout and held Florida College to just one shot for the entire 90 minutes. USF allowed just one corner kick as the back line limited the opportunities of Florida College.

USF returns to the road for a non-conference showdown with rival UCF. The match is slated for a 6 p.m. start time on ESPN+.

The 2023 season marks the 17th and final for head coach Denise Schilte-Brown at the helm of the Bulls. Schilte-Brown guided South Florida to the program's first-ever NCAA Tournament in 2010 and the Bulls have made eight total postseason appearances (2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021) in the last 13 years. USF posted five consecutive seasons with a conference championship, winning the regular-season title in 2018, 2020, and 2021, while earning the tournament crown in 2017, 2019, and 2020. USF alum and Olympic Gold Medalist, Evelyne Viens, was selected fifth overall in the NWSL Draft by the Sky Blue FC, now Gotham FC. Viens was one of four Pro Bulls to participate in the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup.
