Tampa, Fla. Jan. 19, 2023 – South Florida women's basketball (11-8, 3-3) welcomes North Texas (14-3, 4-1) to the Yuengling Center on Saturday night. Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m. and the game will stream live on ESPN+.
 
SETTING THE STAGE
The Bulls return to Tampa Bay as winners of two of their last four contests. The Mean Green are currently on a four-game hot streak in AAC Play, their lone league loss was to Charlotte in December.
 
THE SOUTH FLORIDA-NORTH TEXAS SERIES
Saturday night's clash will be the second-ever meeting between the two squads and the first since 1994. The first pairing resulted in a 68-61 Bulls win on Dec. 18, 1994.
 
LAST TIME OUT
South Florida fell, 65-42, at UTSA on Tuesday night. The Bulls were paced by redshirt junior forward Romi Levy, whose final stat line consisted of 12 points, six rebounds, and a pair of steals. Freshman Guard Vittoria Blasigh added 11 points and has scored in double-digits in six of the last seven games. The defeat marked the first back-to-back conference losses since the 2019-20 season (No. 5/6 UConn, Feb. 16 & at UCF, Feb. 19).
 
BULL LEADERS
South Florida is led by freshman guard Vittoria Blasigh (15.5 ppg). Blasigh (55 3PM) is ranked 6th nationally in total 3-pointers made. Blasigh earned her 4th AAC Freshman of the Week Honor after a career-best 35 points in the win against Tulsa and 26 points in a road loss to Rice. Redshirt junior forward Romi Levy (10.9 ppg) is the second Bull averaging double-digit points. Senior forward Evelien Lutje Schipholt leads on the glass with 7.3 rebounds per contest, which ranks 11th in the American. Redshirt senior guard Aerial Wilson dishes out a team-best 4.1 assists per contest. Wilson's 78 total assists ranks third in the American.

AAC BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP TICKETS
For the fourth consecutive year, The American's Men's and Women's Basketball Championships will be contested at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. Both Championships expand to 14 teams this season with The Women's Championship running March 9-13. Ticket packages for the Women's Championship will be $85 per package. In 2022-23, the Bulls had four players recognized by The American for impressive seasons, including Elena Tsineke (AAC Co-Player of the Year, All-Conference First Team), Dulcy Fankam Mendjiadeu (AAC Co-Player of the Year, All-Conference First Team), Sammie Puisis (AAC Newcomer of the Year, All-Conference Second Team) and Carla Brito (AAC All-Freshman Team).
