TAMPA, FL., November 1, 2024 – The University of South Florida volleyball team (14-9, 10-2 AAC) continued to lead the AAC with a 3-0 sweep over the Temple Owls (11-14, 3-8 AAC) on Friday night.

The Bulls won with scores of 25-22, 25-18, 25-15.

Maria Clara Andrade continued her double-digit kill streak with a match-leading 15 kills. She has finished the last 17 matches with 10+ kills.
Naiya Sawtelle's double-digit kill streak stretched to nine matches with 13 kills tonight.

Caroline Dykes dished out 41 assists, bringing her career total to 3,975. She is 25 assists away from reaching 4,000. She would be the 15
th active setter to reach the milestone. Dykes and
Imani Hartfield led the Bulls with two block assists.

Tizi Puljiz and Andrade each had a solo block.

Lia Schneider led the Bulls in service aces and digs. She finished the match with three service aces, including the game-winner and 14 digs. Her double-digit dig streak is now nine matches.

The Bulls jumped out to a 10-4 lead. Temple fought back to within one, but South Florida took the first set. The Bulls hit .354 in the opening set, with 21 of their 25 points being kills. South Florida held Temple to 13 kills and a .303 hitting percentage.

Just like the first set, South Florida took the early 13-5 lead. The Owl's last point came at 22-18. South Florida closed out set two with a 3-0 run. The Bulls served three aces in the second set, while the Owls served none.

The Bulls coasted to a dominant 25-15 win to complete the season sweep over Temple. While South Florida hit for a .481, Temple was held to a .087 hitting percentage.
