Oregon State struck first in the opening frame with a solo home run to left field. The Beavers extended their lead to 2-0 with a run in the top of the third.

South Florida was held hitless until the third inning when Kathy Garcia-Soto (Tampa) showed her speed to beat the throw to first. Jordyn Kadlub (Wesley Chapel) followed up with a single, but the Bulls were left stranded.
