TAMPA (April 15, 2024) – The University of South Florida Bulls open their longest homestand of the season, an eight-game stretch, against FGCU on Tuesday night at 6 p.m. in Tampa. Following the midweek tilt, South Florida welcomes Rice for a three-game conference weekend series to USF Baseball Stadium on April 19-21.

South Florida is 15-6 at home this season and has won six straight and seven of the last eight contests in Tampa.

The Bulls are looking to snap a four-game skid to FGCU, including a 3-2 loss in Fort Myers on March 19. The Eagles walked-off in that game on a two-out bases-loaded single in the bottom of the ninth inning.

The Eagles are 6-11 away from home this season, but are coming off a series win at Stetson over the weekend.

USF leads the AAC and ranks 33rd in the NCAA with 66 stolen bases. Ben Rozenblum leads the league with a career-high 16 stolen bases. Rozenblum batted .538 (7-for-13) over four games last week with a .647 OBP. He went 7-for-7 over the final two games of the series in Tulane and reached base safely in his last 11 at-bats in the series.

John Montes continues to lead the Bulls with a .366 batting average on the year and ranks second on the team with 31 RBI. Jackson Mayo has a team-best 34 RBI and hit his seventh home run of the season on Sunday. Mayo shares the home run lead with Bobby Boser, who has yet to return to the everyday lineup (hand). Drew Brutcher enters the week with a .318 batting average and a team-best 14 doubles and 36 walks. The senior ranks 11th in the NCAA in walks and 30th in doubles.

Double Play Passes, which include one ticket to every home baseball and softball game, can be purchased now for $99. Group and single game tickets are also on sale and can be purchased here or by calling 1-800-Go-Bulls.
