SAN ANTONIO, Texas (May 9, 2024) – The University of South Florida Bulls wrap up a season-long seven-game road swing with a three-game conference series at UTSA on May 10-12.
South Florida will conclude the regular season with a four-game homestand in Tampa next week which features a non-conference game against UNF on Tuesday, May 14 and a three-game conference series against UAB on May 16-18.
The Bulls (9-12) enter their final weekend in a three-way tie for seventh place in the 10-team AAC standings. The UTSA Roadrunners (13-8) sit in second place. Third place and ninth place in the AAC standings are separated by only two games with two weekends left to play. The top eight teams will advance to the American Championship on May 21-26 in Clearwater.
USF took one of three games at No. 5 ECU, which leads the conference standings, last weekend and is coming off a 4-1 loss at Florida on Tuesday. Bobby Boser hit his team-leading 10th home run in Gainesville. Boser now has 29 career home runs which are tied for eighth all-time in program history.
Drew Brutcher ranks sixth all-time with 38 career home runs and ranks ninth in program history with 132 career walks. He has recorded a career-best 40 walks and 16 doubles this season. John Montes has also tallied career highs in doubles (11) and RBI (37).
Marcus Brodil is batting .381 during conference play this season while Joaquin Monque is hitting .344 which has raised his season batting average to a team-leading .314 clip.

About USF Baseball
The USF Baseball program played its first season in 1966 and is entering its 59th season in 2024 under head coach Billy Mohl (seventh season). The Bulls have made 14 NCAA Tournament appearances, including four since 2015, and earned their first-ever Super Regional berth in 2021. USF was ranked in the Top 25 by five different publications in the final 2021 polls, checking in as high as No. 16. The Bulls have won five conference tournament titles (3 Sun Belt, 1 Metro and 1 American) and six regular season championships (3 Sun Belt, 2 Metro and 1 C-USA). Former 2018 first-round selection, Shane McClanahan, became the program's first-ever MLB All-Star in 2022 and was the starting pitcher for the American League.
