USF Volleyball postponed to Saturday; other programs announce schedule changes due to Hurricane Helene

USF and Charlotte’s matchup set for Friday has been postponed to Saturday at 11 a.m.

TAMPA (September 25, 2024) – The University of South Florida has announced schedule changes for several programs due to the impacts of Hurricane Helene in the Tampa Bay area.

Volleyball

South Florida and Charlotte's conference-opening match, originally scheduled for Friday, September 27, has been postponed to Saturday, September 28 at 11 a.m. The match will be played inside The Corral on USF's campus.

The Bulls' match against ECU on Sunday, September 29 at 2 p.m. is still on as scheduled.

Cross Country

The FSU Pre-Regional Meet scheduled for Friday, September 27 in Tallahassee has been canceled.

Women's Tennis

The Bedford Cup hosted by FGCU in Fort Myers on September 27-29 has been postponed to October 4-6.

Football

The South Florida Bulls and Tulane Green Wave are still scheduled to open AAC play on Saturday, September 28 at 12 p.m. ET in New Orleans.

All other teams' road contests are still on as scheduled at this time.

USF Athletics currently sponsors 21 varsity men's and women's teams that compete in 13 different sports, 20 at the NCAA Division I level in the American Athletic Conference, including the recent additions of women's lacrosse and women's beach volleyball.
