TAMPA, FLA., January 30, 2025 – Ahead of two action-packed seasons, the University of South Florida announces updates made to the USF Baseball and Softball facilities for the 2025 seasons. Both stadiums will include new Adirondack chairs, premium seating, concession packages, and mobile ordering.

Head coach
Ken Eriksen is at the helm of the softball team for his 28th season at South Florida, while the baseball team is led by
Mitch Hannahs in his first season with the Bulls. After a highly successful career at Indiana State, which included 355 wins and five NCAA Regionals, Hannahs starts a new era for the baseball team, which is celebrating its 60th season in 2025.

The Adirondack chairs can be found beyond the left field outfield fence for baseball and outside the right field fence for softball. They are available on a first-come basis.

Softball will have a new home plate section with cushioned seats for fans to reserve. Softball fans can purchase premium pavilion seating on the third base side. Each pavilion will include personal service and snacks.

Baseball fans can purchase new premium box seating located in the front two rows by the field, which includes personal service.

This season, fans will have the option to skip the line and order food from their phone. Groups will also have a new concessions package. Â
Â
On Sundays, not including tournament softball games, kids will be free for both baseball and softball.

About USF Softball
The South Florida softball program has been one of the most successful on campus, making 17 NCAA tournament appearances, including a trip to the Women's College World Series in 2012. Under head coach Ken Eriksen, who enters his 28th season in 2025 and has accumulated 1,117 wins, ranking seventh among active DI head softball coaches, USF has produced 10 NFCA All-Americans, two USA Softball Top 10 Player of the Year, and one NFCA Pitcher of the Year. In 2022, Georgina Corrick became the first player in softball history to earn the NCAA Pitching Triple Crown. She led the nation in ERA (0.51), Victories (37), and total strikeouts (418).

About USF Baseball
The South Florida Baseball program played its first season in 1966 and will enter its 60th campaign in 2025. Mitch Hannahs was named South Florida's eighth head coach in program history on June 8, 2024 after compiling 355 wins over 11 seasons at Indiana State. The 2023 ABCA NCAA DI Midwest Region Coach of the Year guided the Sycamores to six conference titles and five NCAA Regionals.

The Bulls have made 14 NCAA Tournament appearances and earned their first-ever Super Regional berth in 2021. The Bulls have won five conference tournament titles (3 Sun Belt, 1 Metro and 1 American) and six regular season championships (3 Sun Belt, 2 Metro and 1 C-USA). USF baseball players have been recognized with All-America honors 12 times and 19 Bulls have earned Freshman All-America accolades. USF has had 131 MLB Draft Picks. Former 2018 first-round draft pick, Shane McClanahan, is a two-time MLB All-Star.
