USF Volleyball Rolls Past Tulane in New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS, La. (Oct. 12, 2025) – South Florida volleyball capped its weekend with a statement win, defeating Tulane in four sets (25-15, 25-11, 21-25, 25-21) on Sunday afternoon inside Avron B. Fogelman Arena in Devlin Fieldhouse.
 

The Bulls (9-8, 5-1 AAC) came out strong and never looked back, controlling the tempo early with a dominant offensive performance in the opening sets. South Florida hit an impressive .444 in the first set and followed with a .429 clip in the second to take a 2-0 match lead.
 

Tulane (9-8, 1-5 AAC) managed to take the third set, but the Bulls regrouped quickly, closing out the match behind composed late-set execution in the fourth frame.
 

South Florida finished the afternoon hitting .338 as a team with 61 kills and 74 total points. The Bulls' balanced attack and steady serving pressure fueled the victory, while

Notables

  • Maria Clara Andrade finished with 18 kills for her ninth straight match with double-digit kills.
  • Laila Ivey registered 15 kills, setting a season high for the outside hitter.  
  • Taelyn Bentley and Raegan Richardson led the Bulls with two solo blocks. For Bentley, it was her second match with multiple block solos.  
  • Miya Thomas led the team with three service aces, matching a season high. She also posted 13 digs, a season-high.
  • Samiha Foster led the Bulls with 16 digs, bringing her season total to 252.
  • As a team, the Bulls hit for a .338 percentage, the second-highest this season.

 

Up Next

South Florida come back to the Corral for an action-packed weekend as they welcome the Charlotte 49ers on Friday and the Temple Owls on Sunday. The first serve for Friday is set for 6 p.m., while Sunday's is set for 1 p.m. Both matches will be streamed on ESPN+.

Friday will be the Bulls annual Breast Cancer Awareness match, while Sunday is Volloween.
