Bulls Cross Country Continue Fall Slate at Alabama’s Crimson Classic

TAMPA, Fla., October 16, 2025 — The University of South Florida cross country team continues its fall campaign on Friday, Oct. 17, when it competes in the Crimson Classic hosted by the University of Alabama. The meet will be held at Harry Pritchett Running Park in Tuscaloosa, Ala.

The men's 8K race is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. CT, followed by the women's 6K race at 9:20 a.m. CT.

This year's field features a strong lineup of programs from across the region, including Auburn, South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Tulane, Arkansas Little Rock, Belmont, Central Arkansas, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Kennesaw State, North Alabama, Oakland University, Samford, South Alabama, Southern Miss, Southern Utah, Tennessee Chattanooga, Troy, UAB, ULM, and Miami (Fla.).

"The Crimson Classic gives our student-athletes another opportunity to compete against high-level programs on a challenging course," said Director of Track & Field and Cross Country Erik Jenkins. "Meets like this are important as we continue to build momentum throughout the rest of our season."

About USF Cross Country
The USF Cross Country team has earned 2 All-America selections, Christina Benton in 2002 and Gray Mavhera in 1994. The Bulls have advanced to the NCAA Cross Country Championships seven times in program history, three times for the men and four times for the women. The USF men's teams have won seven team conference championships, and the women have won five team championships. Director of Track & Field and Cross Country Erik Jenkins took over the program in 2019. USF hosted the 2018 NCAA Track and Field East Preliminary and the 2021 and 2023 American Conference Outdoor Championship at the USF Track and Field Stadium, as well as the 2022 American Country Cross Country Championship at Holloway Park.
