USF Volleyball Sweeps Temple to Remain Undefeated in Conference Play at Home

The Bulls have won seven of their last eight matches.

TAMPA, Fl., October 19, 2025 – The University of South Florida volleyball team kept its undefeated conference streak at home alive with a 3–0 victory against Temple (25-18, 25-20, 25-17) on Sunday afternoon inside The Corral.
 
With the win, the Bulls improved to 11-8 overall and 7-1 in American Athletic Conference play.
 
USF set the tone early by taking the opening frame behind a balanced attack and strong serving pressure. USF's offense was firing on all cylinders, hitting an impressive .340 as a team while holding the Owls to just .135. Sophomore standout Laila Ivey led the charge with 14 kills on .407 hitting, while Maria Clara Andrade added 11 kills (.346) and a service ace to fuel the Bulls' momentum. Arianna Beckham chipped in eight kills and two blocks, and middle blocker Taelyn Bentley was nearly unstoppable with a .714 hitting percentage and five kills. The defense held Temple in check with 46 digs and came up with key stops in momentum-shifting rallies. The victory marked USF's third straight conference win.
 
Notables
  • Ivey led the match with 14 kills, bringing her season total into triple digits with 108. Andrade also earned double digit kills, recording 11.
  • Richardson dished out 33 assists, bringing her season total to 623.
  • Addy Brus led the team with four aces, followed by Richardson with two and Andrade with one.  
  • Bentley recorded a season-high five blocks, followed by Andrade and Beckham who both recorded two.
  • Samiha Foster led the team with 13 digs. Richardson followed with nine.
Up Next
The Bulls will travel to North Carolina next weekend to face off against East Carolina and Charlotte for the second time this season. The Bulls will play the Pirates on Friday, October 24, with the first serve set for 6 p.m. The Bulls will move to face the Forty-Niners on Sunday at 1 p.m. Both matches will be streamed on ESPN+.
