TAMPA, Fla., October 3, 2025 – Head Coach Pri Piantadosi-Lima and the University of South Florida beach volleyball program announced the 2025 fall schedule, highlighted by AVCA bid tournaments and a chance to qualify for the AVCA Pairs National Championships.
The fall season provides every Bull the opportunity to gain valuable experience ahead of the championship season in the spring. Each tournament offers bid divisions, where programs can qualify up to two pairs for Nationals, along with lower divisions that allow the rest of the team to compete. Last year, USF earned one bid, and the Bulls are looking to match or surpass that with two pairs representing in Huntsville this November.
South Florida will open the fall this weekend at the AVCA Collegiate Beach Central Bid Tournament in New Orleans, La. The Bulls will face strong competition from Southern Miss, LSU, Texas A&M–Corpus Christi, Houston Christian, McNeese, and New Orleans, with games beginning Saturday morning.
Up next, USF heads to Wilmington, N.C., October 17–18 for the
AVCA Collegiate Beach East Bid Tournament, before traveling west October 25–26 to Huntington Beach, Calif., for the
AVCA Collegiate Beach West Qualification.
Whoever qualifies for the Pairs Championship will head to Huntsville, Ala., November 7–9 for the
AVCA Fall Pairs National Championships, while the rest of the team will close out the fall season at the
UAB Tournament in Birmingham, Ala., November 8–9.
