TAMPA, October 30, 2025 – The University of South Florida volleyball team welcomes the Tulsa Golden Hurricane and the Wichita State Shockers to the Corral this Friday and Sunday. This is the first time since 2021 that South Florida has hosted Tulsa and Wichita State.
 
Setting The Stage:
The Bulls (12-8, 9-1 American) are looking to extend their four-match win streak with a pair of matches against Tulsa (18-4, 8-2 American) and Wichita State (14-8, 6-4 American).  
 
The Bulls are coming off a pair of wins over East Carolina and Charlotte this past weekend. South Florida is currently tied for first in the American Conference standings with Rice. They have a one-match lead over Tulsa.
 
Series History:
Tulsa leads the all-time series, 9-5, against South Florida. The Bulls took the meeting last year in five sets in Tulsa. The Bulls earned their first win over Wichita State in the regular season last year, before falling in the semifinals of the conference tournament.
 
Note-A-Bull:
South Florida's RPI jumped from 41 last week to 27 this week, the highest it's been this season. Three American Conference teams are in the top 50 RPI. The Bulls sit at 27, while Rice follows at 39, and Tulsa at 53.
 
After leading the Bulls to another 2-0 weekend, 
Iyanna Garvin and 
Maria Clara Andrade were named the American Conference Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week. 
Raegan Richardson earned a spot on this week's Honorable Mention team.
 
Richardson continues to lead the Bulls behind the service line with 29 aces this season. 
Addy Brus follows with 24, and 
Maria Clara Andrade with 23. 
Imani Hartfield continues to lead the team with 59 blocks. 
Arianna Beckham follows with 45 blocks.
 
Additional Notes:
South Florida has three Bulls with 150+ digs this season. 
Samiha Foster leads the way with 309, while Andrade follows with 201. Brus rounds it out with 168 digs.
 
American Conference Tournament 
South Florida will be the host to the 2025 American Conference Volleyball Tournament, November 21-23, inside the Corral, due to winning the 2024 Regular Season. The top eight teams will make it to the tournament. Tickets for the conference tournament will go on sale on Monday, November 3rd. More information can be found at

Head coach Jolene Shepardson enters her sixth season at the helm of her alma mater in 2025. Named head coach on January 8, 2020, Shepardson led the Bulls to a conference championship and the program's last NCAA tournament appearance as a student-athlete in 2002. South Florida won the 2024 AAC regular-season title, earning Jolene Shepardson her first Coach of the Year Honor. In 2023, the Bulls won the AAC East Division title, made a postseason appearance in the NIVC, won three matches, and advanced to the Fab Four to mark the longest postseason run in program history. South Florida Volleyball has won eight Player of the Year honors, most recently in Maria Clara Andrade in 2024. The Bulls have also had four Setter of the Year honors, most recently in Caroline Dykes in 2024. South Florida has made seven NCAA Tournament appearances and won 13 conference titles since its inception in 1972. The Bulls play in The Corral (1,000), located adjacent to the Yuengling Center on the USF campus in Tampa.
