TAMPA, Fla. (November 2, 2025) – The University of South Florida women's soccer team heads to Lakewood Ranch, Fla., for the first round of the American Conference Championship. USF (8-8-2, 4-4-2) is the seventh seed and is set to face the second seed Charlotte (10-5-2, 6-2-2) at 11 a.m. on ESPN+.
South Florida beat Florida Atlantic in the last regular season match, 2-1, to clinch a berth in the tournament.
Gentiana Fetaj scored the match-winning goal with just over a minute remaining. Selma Åström scored her third collegiate goal and has now scored in back-to-back matches.
In the regular season match between these two teams, USF won 2-1. Fetaj and
Linnea Nestor scored the two goals of the match for the bulls, and
Leire Herraez Gallach started and played the full 90 minutes, making four saves.
Setting the Stage
The Bulls beat the 49ers during the regular season in a home match, 2-1.

He coached USF's first All-American, Evelyne Viens, now a Hall of Famer and Olympic gold medalist, and has developed multiple American Athletic Conference award winners. Players under his guidance hold most of the program's records.
