TAMPA, Fla. (November 30, 2025) – For the second-straight game,
Raina Tomasicka produced a career high in points to lead the University of South Florida women's basketball team against New Orleans on Sunday inside the Yuengling Center. The Bulls (5-3) defeated the Privateers (0-7) 90-58.
Tomasicka led the charge with a career-high 21 points on 8-of-13 shooting, including a career-best three 3-pointers. She dished out a career-high four assists.
Katie Davidson added 15 points and seven rebounds.
L'or Mputu turned in an efficient 14-point, four-rebound effort in just 16 minutes of action.
Fatou Diakite controlled the interior with a game-high 11 rebounds to go along with nine points.
The Bulls' bench scored 44 points out of the team's total of 90. The USF bench outscored the UNO bench 44-15. South Florida dominated the rebounding battle with a season-high 55 rebounds, while limiting New Orleans to 28 rebounds. The Bulls grabbed 17 offensive rebounds, leading to 21 second-chance points.
After New Orleans opened with a transition layup, USF answered with a 5-0 burst from Mputu and Davidson. The game shifted when Tomasicka entered and immediately delivered eight points, including a deep three and two finishes in the lane, to spark a 10-3 run that pushed USF ahead 17-10 after one.
Tomasicka continued her surge early in the second quarter, scoring seven more points as USF quickly pushed the margin to double digits. Davidson added a stretch of four straight free throws, and the Bulls forced multiple turnovers that turned into runouts for Diakite and Bulajic. A 20-3 surge extended the lead to 37-19 before the Bulls took a 38-25 advantage into halftime.
USF delivered its most dominant quarter of the season in the third. Mputu scored eight points in the first five minutes, including three layups in transition, while
Stefanie Ingram,
Carla Brito, and Davidson added baskets to fuel a 25-8 frame. Tomasicka knocked down another three as the Bulls stretched the lead to 63-33 entering the fourth.
South Florida closed strong, with Mputu finishing two more at the rim, Davidson drilling a wing three, and Diakite, Bulajic, and Lewis-Williams adding baskets in transition. Tomasicka and Brito connected on a late corner 3-pointer to cap a 27-point fourth quarter. The Bulls recorded their first 90-point performance of the year on the way to a 90-58 victory.
