TAMPA, Fla. (December 11, 2025) – Head Coach
Mindy McCord and the University of South Florida women's lacrosse team unveiled its 2026 schedule. The slate features eight teams that reached the 2025 NCAA Tournament and five programs ranked in the preseason Top 25. The Bulls will play a balanced mix of home and road contests leading into the Conference Championships from April 30 through May 2 in Nashville.
The schedule features eight NCAA Tournament teams from last season, including Michigan, Mercer, Brown, Navy, James Madison, Florida, Liberty, and Richmond. Several of those opponents advanced into the later rounds of the postseason, giving South Florida a competitive, high-profile lineup that will challenge and prepare the team for championship play.
The season begins on January 30 with a home exhibition matchup against Tampa, followed by the Bulls' season opener against Niagara (2/7). South Florida welcomes perennial national contender Michigan, ranked No. 14 entering the season, on February 15. South Florida then travels to Stetson on February 18. The Bulls to close out the month with a home contest against Mercer on February 21.
March includes one of the program's toughest stretches in its young history. The Bulls host Brown on March 1, followed by home tests against Navy (3/7), James Madison (3/21), and Richmond (3/30), while also traveling for matchups at Temple (3/14) and Old Dominion (3/28).
In April, South Florida hosts Liberty (4/2) and then travels to Florida (4/8) to open the month. The Bulls close out the home portion of the season against Charlotte (4/11) and East Carolina (4/18). South Florida travels to Vanderbilt (4/25) to end the regular season.
The American Conference Championship will take place from April 30 through May 2 on the campus of Vanderbilt.
South Florida enters the spring with a slate designed to test every phase of its game, highlighted by impactful home matchups and nationally ranked road environments.

South Florida women's lacrosse, led by head coach Mindy McCord, enters its second season following a 13-5 inaugural campaign and a berth in the American Athletic Conference tournament. The Bulls quickly emerged as one of the nation's top new programs, ranking among the NCAA's top 10 in scoring offense, scoring margin, shots per game, and shots on goal per game.
In 2025, the Bulls set Florida's regular-season attendance record with 2,386 fans at a single game and ranked third nationally in total home attendance. Five players earned all-conference team honors, with four selected to The American's All-Tournament Team.
USF plays a fast-paced, high-scoring brand of lacrosse inspired by the early 1990s Loyola Marymount men's basketball team and its record-setting fast break.
