Bulls wrap up the weekend with a win

South Florida takes Georgia Southern down 5-2 on Sunday

TAMPA, FLA., February 10, 2025- The University of South Florida Bulls (5-2) wrapped up their weekend trip with a win against the Georgia Southern Eagles (3-4) on Sunday with a score of 5-2. This weekend bumped up the Bull's road record to 3-1.

The Bulls took the doubles point, losing doubles 2 due to win by opponent retirement. The Bulls bounced back taking a win on Court 3 with a score of 6-4 by Ben Hudson and Toto Llanes. Agustin Cuellar and Stepan Mruzek earned the deciding point for doubles with a 6-4 win on Court 1.

An early loss on singles Court 6 evened the score USF 1, GSU 1. Cuellar on Court 3 put the Bulls back in the lead with a win of 6-3, 7-5. Another loss on Court 4 tied the match up and the battle was neck and neck. Hugo Car triumphed with a 7-6 (8-6), 6-4 win on Court 1 to push the Bulls back up. Elijah Cham earned a huge 2-6, 7-5, 6-2 win to give the Bulls the victory. On Court 5, Llanes added some cushion with a 4-6, 7-6, 7-6 win.

The Bulls are looking to extend their win streak as they travel to Boca Raton this weekend, to face the Florida Atlantic Owls. The Bulls are 11-5 against the Owls in matchup history and looking for a win after an at-home loss last year.
