Josie Foreman Leads USF Softball to Sunday Win Over Troy

TAMPA, Fla., February 23, 2025 – Josie Foreman led the University of South Florida softball team (13-4) with seven RBI in the Bulls 10-8 win over the Troy Trojans to close out the South Florida Showdown on Sunday afternoon.
 
After the Trojans took the 2-0 lead in the top half of the first off a two-run home run, the Bulls evened the score in the bottom half of the same inning. Alexa Galligani and Alex Wilkes got on with a fielder's choice and a single. Josie Foreman cleared the bases with a double to right-center to tie the game at two.
 
Troy scored two more runs in the second inning, but the Bulls answered with one run from an RBI single from Olivia Elliott.
 
After a walk from Alex Wilkes, Foreman hit her third home run in just as many games.
 
The fourth inning highlighted the game for the Bulls, seeing five runs plated. Foreman added three more RBI to her name with a bases-clearing double, bringing her game total to seven and matching a program-high. Karhys Pierce and Allana Consolazio added an RBI to their stat line with a double and a single.
 
The Trojans cut the Bulls' lead to three, scoring two runs in the fifth inning. Troy added one run in the seventh, but Payton Dixon closed out the game for her second save.
