March 06, 2025

TAMPA, Fla (March 6, 2025) – The defending AAC Champion South Florida Bulls head north this weekend for the highly competitive Hayt Invitational, hosted by the University of North Florida. With five top-25 teams in the field, the Bulls have a prime opportunity to climb the rankings with a strong performance.

The 15-team field consists of some of the top ranked teams in the nation: Texas (5), North Carolina (8), Virginia (9), South Carolina (13), Alabama (20), South Florida, Duke, Texas-San Antonio, Liberty, North Florida, Northwestern, Louisville, North Carolina-Charlotte, Coastal Carolina, Navy.

The Bulls are coming off a sixth-place finish at the Florida Gators Invitational, where they posted a team score of 849 (+9). A strong performance this weekend will provide South Florida with the momentum they need as they head into the final few tournaments before defending their AAC title next month.

Senior Jake Peacock continues to lead the way for the Bulls with a top-10 finish in all four tournaments this season. With a current scoring average of 69.5, he's on track to set the program's best single-season average in history. While there's still plenty of golf ahead, this level of play is exactly what the Bulls need from their leader.

Shubham Jaglan enters the Hayt Invitational with three top-25 finishes in his first four tournaments of the season, placing him second on the team alongside Cooper Smith. His consistency has been impressive, with a steady 213 in each of his last three tournaments.

Coach Bradley's lineup for the FAU Golf Invitational will consist of: Jake Peacock, Shubham Jaglan, Cooper Smith, Wilhelm Ryding, and Nino Palmquist.

You can catch the action all weekend, here.
