DAYTONA BEACH, APRIL 23, 2025- The University of South Florida baseball team (22-16; 10-5 AAC) fell to the Bethune Cookman Wildcats (25-17; 16-2 SWAC) in a heartbreaking walk-off, 10-9, on Wednesday night at Jackie Robinson Stadium in Daytona Beach.

South Florida still holds second place in the AAC standings. The Bulls are two games behind the UTSA Roadrunners and have a one-game lead on Florida Atlantic and East Carolina.

The Bulls jumped out to an early lead and remained competitive throughout, highlighted by a four-run seventh inning that put them ahead 8–6. However, the Wildcats responded late, tying the game in the ninth and walking it off with a double in the bottom of the 10th.

Carlos Jacome led USF at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBIs, a triple, and a stolen base.
Ryan Pruitt contributed three hits and stole two bases, while
Jackson Mayo added an RBI single and a stolen base of his own. As a team, the Bulls tallied six stolen bases and took advantage of four Wildcat errors.

Despite the offensive production, South Florida's bullpen struggled to hold the lead. Reliever
Nolan Bernard (1–1) was tagged with the loss after surrendering the game-winning hit in the 10th.
