NO. 28 SOUTH FLORIDA ENDS THE REGULAR SEASON ON A HIGH

The Bulls end the regular season 19-3 after a win against No. 44 Middle Tennessee on Friday
TAMPA (April 7)- The University of South Florida Men's tennis team ends the regular season with a 19-3 record and a No. 28 ranking. The Bulls ended their regular season with a 5-2 win against Middle Tennessee (12-10). The Bulls were supposed to continue play with a match against UAB on Sunday, but the match was canceled.
The Bulls took the doubles point early with a 6-2 win on Court 2 by Ben Hudson and Toto Llanes. Hugo Car and Ettore Danesi clinched the doubles point with a 6-4 win on Court 1.
South Florida continued by taking four of the six singles courts. Danesi was the first Bull to clutch a court with a 6-4, 6-2 triumph on Court 5. Llanes continued with a 7-6 (7-2), 6-1 victory on Court 6. Agustin Cuellar clinched the match on Court 2 with a 7-5, 6-2 win. Elijah Cham added some cushion with a battle on Court 3, resulting in a 6-4, 6-7 (1-7), 1-0 (10-8) win.
The Bulls ended the season with five players earning double-digit singles wins. Car went 15-2, Cham went 14-5, Cuellar went 16-1, Llanes 11-6 and Gughi Verdese went 16-5.

The Bulls will travel to Memphis, Tennessee to compete in the American Athletic Conference Championship. South Florida is currently ranked first in conference standings.
