TAMPA, Fla., July 24, 2025 – University of South Florida head volleyball coach
Jolene Shepardson has unveiled the 2025 season schedule, which features matchups with at least one member from each of the Power Four conferences and visits to nine other states.
"There is so much to look forward to this season", said head coach
Jolene Shepardson. Â "We are going into an intentionally competitive non-conference preseason schedule. We aim to continue increasing our RPI and elevate our game to the next level. We plan to enter our conference season prepared to play with a lot of intensity and precision, and I believe that the teams on our schedule will help us achieve just that. We had a wonderful start this summer in Brazil, and we are ready to rise to the level and dreams that we have before us."
The Bulls will play 28 regular-season matches in 2025, including contests against teams from the SEC, Big Ten, Big 12, and ACC, as well as 16 American Athletic Conference matchups.
South Florida opens the season in Knoxville, Tenn., on August 29 against Purdue and hosts Tennessee.
The Bulls will then return to Tampa for a marquee three-match homestand, welcoming Florida (Sept. 2), Florida State (Sept. 5), and South Carolina (Sept. 7) to the Yuengling Center.
USF heads back on the road for a Midwest swing for matches against Minnesota, South Dakota State, Dayton, Omaha, Creighton, and Kansas (Sept. 12–21), before opening conference play at home against Florida Atlantic on September 24 and East Carolina on September 26.
The Bulls hit the road again for a four-match conference trip, facing Temple (Oct. 3), Rice (Oct. 10), Tulane (Oct. 12), and East Carolina (Oct. 24). In between, USF will host North Texas (Oct. 5), Charlotte (Oct. 17), and Temple (Oct. 19).
South Florida returns to Tampa to host Tulsa (Oct. 31) and Wichita State (Nov. 2) before another four-match stretch with road contests at UAB (Nov. 7), Memphis (Nov. 9), and FAU (Nov. 12), wrapping up the regular season at home against UTSA on November 16.
The 2025 American Conference Tournament will be hosted in Tampa, Fla., from November 21-23 inside the Corral.
