IRVING, Texas, July 29, 2025 – The American Conference announced its yearly Scholar-Athletes on Tuesday.
Georgia Brown was named the 2024-25 Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year as well as the conference's women's soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
Jake Peacock was named the American Men's Golf Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
Brown is a two-time College Sports Communicators Academic All-America selection, including a first-team choice in 2024, when she earned first-team all-conference honors. A standout defender, Brown also contributed four goals and two assists in 2024 on her way to a second consecutive all-conference selection. She earned a degree in biomedical sciences.
Brown, the American's Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year, will receive a $4,000 postgraduate financial scholarship. She also received a $2,000 postgraduate scholarship for being named the Women's Soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
Peacock is the only two-time Men's Golf Player of the Year and the only back-to-back American Conference individual champion. He earned a degree in Integrated Public Relations and Advertising. He received a $2,000 postgraduate scholarship for being named the Men's Golf Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

Nearly 500 student-athletes train and compete in the Tampa General Hospital Athletics District on the east end of USF's Tampa campus. The Bulls have won 154 conference titles across 16 sports, with 82 men's championships and 72 women's championships. Men's tennis and men's soccer lead with 20 titles each, while women's programs have been headlined by women's tennis (14) and volleyball (13). Since joining the American in 2013, USF has secured 36 conference team titles. USF has also claimed 17 national championships, including three individual titles since 2023, in track and field.
Academically, USF student-athletes have achieved a program record of 21 consecutive semesters with a combined GPA of 3.0 or above as of spring 2025. Since 2015, more than 800 Bulls have earned their degrees.
