USF Women’s Soccer Falls to UCF in Orlando

Hedda Ornberg nets her first goal as a Bull

ORLANDO, Fla. (August 21, 2025)Hedda Ornberg scored her first goal in the Green and Gold as the South Florida women's soccer team faced UCF on Thursday. Ornberg scored the only goal for the Bulls (1-2) in the 4-1 loss against the Knights (3-0) in Orlando.
 
It was a defensive battle until the 22nd minute when the Knights scored the first goal of the match.
 
In the 44th minute, the Bulls earned a corner kick. Gentiana Fetaj took the corner and delivered a well-placed ball into the box. Ornberg was on the receiving end of the pass and ripped her first touch into the back of the net. She tied the match at 1-1.
UCF was able to score with nine seconds left in the first half and took a 2-1 lead into the break. The Knights added two goals in the second stanza and claimed a 4-1 victory.
 
Keito Ido and Brooke Fabri both tallied two shots on goal. Ornberg found the back of the net for the first time as a Bull, while Fetaj dished out her first assist of the season.
 
Notables
· Hedda Ornberg recorded her first goal in the Green and Gold.
· The Bulls have scored a goal in 10 of the last 11 matches, including last season.
· Gentiana Fetaj tallied the 15th assist of her career.

Next Up
