USF Volleyball Welcomes Florida Atlantic and East Carolina

The Bulls will welcome the Owls and Pirates to open conference play.

TAMPA, September 23, 2025 – The University of South Florida volleyball team welcomes the Florida Atlantic Owls and the East Carolina Pirates this Wednesday and Friday for a pair of conference matches.
 
The Bulls will open conference play on Wednesday with a 6 p.m. match against the Owls in The Corral. On Friday, the Bulls and Pirates will close out the week with a 6 p.m. match in the Corral. Both matches will be streamed on ESPN+.
 
Setting The Stage:
The Bulls (4-7) will start their scheduled conference play with a pair of matches at home. The Bulls are the reigning 2024 American Conference Champions.
 
Series History:
South Florida leads the all-time series against Florida Atlantic, 17-5. The Bulls took the last meeting in 2024, 3-1, in Tampa. The Bulls also lead the all-time series against the Pirates, 18-9. South Florida took the last match in 2024, 3-2, in Greenville, NC.
 
Note-A-Bull:
Maria Clara Andrade, a key player, leads her team with 147 kills and is averaging 4.08 kills per set. While Addy Brus holds 95 kills and Arianna Beckham follows with 92.
 
Additional Notes:
Raegan Richardson also stands out with 294 assists and 17 service aces. On the defensive side, Samiha Foster leads with 162 digs, while Imani Hartfield has recorded 32 blocks this season, followed by Iyanna Garvin who holds 25 blocks.

About USF Volleyball
Head coach Jolene Shepardson enters her sixth season at the helm of her alma mater in 2025. Named head coach on January 8, 2020, Shepardson led the Bulls to a conference championship and the program's last NCAA tournament appearance as a student-athlete in 2002. South Florida won the 2024 AAC regular-season title, earning Jolene Shepardson her first Coach of the Year Honor. In 2023, the Bulls won the AAC East Division title, made a postseason appearance in the NIVC, won three matches, and advanced to the Fab Four to mark the longest postseason run in program history. South Florida Volleyball has won eight Player of the Year honors, most recently in Maria Clara Andrade in 2024. The Bulls have also had four Setter of the Year honors, most recently in Caroline Dykes in 2024. South Florida has made seven NCAA Tournament appearances and won 13 conference titles since its inception in 1972. The Bulls play in The Corral (1,000), located adjacent to the Yuengling Center on the USF campus in Tampa.
