USF started the half with a strong defense, highlighted by
Jahiem Wickham's position in goal.
Tyler Richardson and
Pedro Faife had early shots on goal.
South Florida's defense prevented Charlotte from capitalizing on corner kicks and maintained a clean sheet through the half. The half closed with the score at 0-0; both teams remained knotted in a defensive battle.
USF continued their aggressive offense with shots from
Fabio Bozesan and
Marcellus McCoy, whose appearance marked his season debut. Wickham made a crucial save in the 84th minute to maintain the draw. The match ended at 0-0, with the Bulls' defense holding strong to preserve the shutout.

USF Men's Soccer competed in the school's first-ever intercollegiate athletic contest on Sept. 25, 1965, beating Florida Southern 4-3.
