TAMPA, Fla. (February 11, 2026) – The University of South Florida softball team is back inside the USF Softball Stadium for The Fonseca Memorial Tournament on Thursday, February 12. The tournament runs through Sunday and features Indiana State (2-3), Kansas (3-3), Yale (0-0), Boston College (2-3), and DePaul (6-0). All South Florida games will be streamed on ESPN+. The Bulls (4-3) open the tournament against the Sycamores at 6:05 p.m.
Earlier this week,
Toryn Fulton was named to the American Conference's weekly honorable mention list. Fulton had a strong start to her college career. She went 3-for-6 at the plate over the weekend with two home runs, five RBIs, four runs scored, and a slugging percentage of 1.500. South Florida is coming off two shutout victories against Delaware, 7-0 and 8-0 (6).
Alexa Galligani led the team with a perfect 5-for-5 day.
Series History vs Indiana State:
South Florida and Indiana State will meet for the second time on Thursday. The Bulls won the only meeting 1-0 on March 8, 1996.
Series History vs Kansas:
The Bulls and Jayhawks will meet for the second time this season and the 12th time on Friday. USF leads the series 8-3 and has won the last five meetings, including a 12-4 victory earlier this year.
Series History vs Yale:
South Florida and Yale will meet for the first time on Friday.
Series History vs Boston College:
The Bulls and the Eagles will meet for the eighth time on Saturday. USF leads the series 5-2. South Florida has won the last two meetings, including a 9-2 victory on February 16, 2024.
Series History vs DePaul:
South Florida and DePaul will meet for the 45th time on Sunday. The Blue Demons have a 32-12 series advantage, but the Bulls won the last meeting 4-3 in 13 innings on April 21, 2013.

Kathy Garcia-Soto is currently tied for sixth in the NCAA with 17 assists. She is the most in the conference.
McKenna Schroding and
Belle Sardja are tied for 13th in the NCAA and tied for first in the American with one shutout. Both Sardja and Schroding are tied for 49th in the nation with one complete game.
Carley Ernst and Sardja are tied for 24th nationally with four appearances, tied for first in the conference.
Alexa Galligani is tied for fifth in the NCAA after being hit three times. She leads the conference.
Kathy Garcia-Soto is tied for 23rd in the nation and tied for second in the American after being hit twice.
Olivia Elliott is currently tied for the toughest player to strikeout in the NCAA. She is tied with eight other players in the conference.
Toryn Fulton is tied for 42nd in the nation with two home runs, which is tied for second in the American.
Kathy Garcia-Soto is tied for first in the country with two triples.
Kiley Strott and
Karhys Pierce are tied for 22nd nationally and for second in the conference with one triple.
South Florida is tied for fourth in the NCAA with four triples, tied for first in the American. The Bulls are tied for 41st in the country and lead the conference with 39 runs scored. South Florida is tied for second in the NCAA and leads the American with three shutouts.
