GREENWOOD, Ind. (May 26, 2026) – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced its annual Academic All-District Team on Tuesday. The University of South Florida softball team was represented by
Olivia Elliott,
Alexa Galligani,
Anne Long,
Karhys Pierce, and
Alex Wilkes.
Elliott earned her third-straight Academic All-District Team honor. She was an American Conference All-Tournament Team. She finished with a .301 batting average and a .415 slugging percentage. She tallied 55 hits, scored 35 runs, drove in 22 runs, had nine doubles, and four home runs. She led the outfield with 78 putouts and added three outfield assists. Elliott is majoring in econometrics and quantitative economics.
Galligani claimed her third consecutive CSC Academic All-District Team selection. She was named to the All-American Conference second team. She earned an All-American Conference honor roll accolade and an NFCA Top Performance. She finished tied for 51st in the NCAA with five sac flies. She finished second on the team with a .338 batting average. She was perfect on stolen base attempts, going 9-for-9. She tallied 76 outfield putouts and two assists. Galligani is a criminology major.
Long earned her first CSC Academic All-District Team accolade. She was named the American Conference Pitcher of the Year and the American Conference Tournament Most Outstanding Player, and she earned a spot on the NFCA All-Region Team. She was ranked No. 24 by Softball America's Position Power rankings. She is the only pitcher to throw a complete-game shutout of at least 11.1 innings this year. She set a program record with 14 innings pitched in a single game, the second-most in NCAA history, and threw a complete-game shutout. She finished 17th in the country with an ERA of 1.84. She tallied 10-straight wins, including two to win the AAC Tournament and the third in the opening round of the NCAA Regional in Fayetteville. Long is pursuing a degree in psychology.
Pierce was named to the CSC Academic All-District Team for the first time. She earned American Conference Honorable Mention twice and was named an NFCA Top Performance. She was third on the team with a .322 batting average and a .401 slugging percentage. She produced 21 runs, 18 RBIs, eight doubles, and two triples. She added five stolen bases. Defensively, she recorded 46 putouts and 37 assists. Pierce is a health sciences major.
Wilkes earned her second CSC Academic All-District Team honor. She was named to the all-conference first team and earned a spot on the American Conference All-Tournament Team. On March 4, she was ranked the 14th-best shortstop in Softball America's Position Power Rankings. She was named American Conference Player of the Week twice and earned NFCA Top Performance honors twice. She was named to the NCAA Softball Lineup of the Week on February 25. She led the team and the conference with 16 doubles, tied for fifth in program history. She also led the team with a .339 batting average, 49 RBIs, and nine home runs. She finished the year with 137 putouts and 119 assists. Wilkes is majoring in biomedical sciences.
To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore. They must have a 3.50 cumulative GPA and either have competed in 90 percent of the institution's games or started at least 66 percent of the institution's games. For pitchers, a student-athlete must have made at least 17 appearances or pitched 35 innings.
