USF Baseball Faces North Dakota State for the First Time

The Bulls look to build on a 2-1 record following the opening series of 2026

TAMPA, Fla. (Feb. 12, 2026) – University of South Florida baseball is set to host North Dakota State (0-3) this Tuesday and Wednesday. The Bulls (2-1) are coming off a series win at home against Illinois.
 
Setting The Stage:
USF set a season high of 11 runs in its 11-10 victory against the Illinois Fighting Illini on Sunday. In game two, the Bulls lost 4-2 in 10 innings, and in game one, they were victorious 9-4.

NDSU lost 10-6 in their third game matchup against FGCU. Game two had a much higher scoring line, with the Bison losing in 11 innings, 19-18. Game one, North Dakota State lost 2-1 in 10 innings.
 
Series History:
This is the first time these two teams have met.
 
Note-A-Bull:
  • This is the first meeting between North Dakota State and USF in baseball.
  • Ryan Pruitt is currently on a three-game hitting streak and will look to make it four on Tuesday night.
  • Jevin Relaford is an American Conference Player of the Week Honorable mention. He currently leads the team in batting average (.500), slugging percentage (1.167), on-base percentage (.727), triples (2), total bases (7), walks (3), hit by pitch (2), steal attempts (2), stolen bases (2), and assists (6).
  • Jake Kulikowski had two multiple-RBI games in the Illinois series.
