USF Beach Volleyball Defeats Morehead State and Coastal Carolina

Bulls pick up back-to-back wins on day one of Coastal Carolina Invitational

Conway, S.C., March 13, 2026 – The University of South Florida beach volleyball team opened play Friday at the Coastal Carolina Invitational, dominating Morehead State 5-0, before earning a 4-1 win over Coastal Carolina.

South Florida 5, Morehead State 0
The Bulls set the tone early and controlled every court, earning straight-set victories across the lineup. 
 
USF secured the first point of the day with Julia Panko and Cornelia Crudu finishing with a strong 21-15, 21-16 win to give the Bulls the lead. 
 
Shortly after, Sasha Pasloski and Isabella Almeida added the second point with a 21-9, 21-15 victory. Kate Stewart and Tereza Lajkebová closed out their match 21-13, 21-11 to clinch the dual for South Florida and extend the lead 3-0. 
 
 The Bulls kept it rolling as Abigail Lagemann and Morgan Anderson secured another straight-set win, 21-8, 21-19. At pair one, Zoey Mitchell and Josephine Sek capped off the sweep, 21-19, 21-16. 
 
Alyx Zapatka and Addison Bounds (Pair 6) also earned a straight-set win in exhibition play. 
 

South Florida 4, Coastal Carolina 1
Coastal Carolina struck first as Mitchell and Sek came up short. The Bulls quickly responded when Pasloski and Almeida battled back to win in three sets, 22-20, 21-19,15-10.

USF took the lead when Panko and Crudu secured a straight-set victory, 21-16, 21-18. Stewart and Lajkebová fought through a three-set match to earn another point for the Bulls, 21-15,15-21,15-12. 
 
Lagemann and Anderson capped off the dual with a 21-16, 21-15 win, sealing the team victory over Coastal Carolina. 
 
In exhibition play, Ariana Medchill and Ryann Genest competed as a pair 6, with their match going unfinished in the third set. 
 
Note-A-Bulls:
  • Five Straight Set Wins— The Bulls earned straight-set victories on all courts against Morehead State.
  • 10-win mark- With Friday's pair of victories, the Bulls hit 10 wins on the season. 
 
UP NEXT
South Florida continues Coastal Carolina Invitational on Saturday, taking on Salem College at 9am before closing out the day against Tennessee Tech.
