USF Men's Tennis Sweeps FAU

The University of South Florida Men's Tennis delivered a dominant performance at home, sweeping Florida Atlantic 4-0.

The Bulls took early control in doubles, securing the point with wins on courts one and two. Hugo Car and Ettore Danesi were first to finish, cruising to a 6-1 victory on court one. James Newton and Toto Llanes followed with a 6-3 win on court two to clinch the doubles point for South Florida. Florida Atlantic picked up a win on court three, but the Bulls carried a 1-0 lead into singles.

South Florida continued its momentum in singles, with Gughi Verdese first off the court. He delivered a commanding 6-1, 6-0 win on court six to extend the lead to 2-0. Elijah Cham followed with a strong 6-3, 6-4 victory on court two, putting the Bulls one point away from the win.

Hugo Car sealed the match on court one, battling to a 6-4, 7-6 victory to clinch the 4-0 sweep for South Florida. All remaining courts were trending in the Bulls' favor, with each unfinished match having secured the first set and on track for potential wins before play was halted.

The Bulls return to action on March 27, hosting Liberty at 1:30 p.m.
