USF Baseball’s Michael Senay is Back-to-Back American Conference Pitcher of the Week

South Florida has moved up to 23rd in the nation, according to Perfect Game’s Top 25.

TAMPA, Fla. (Mar 23, 2026) – University of South Florida baseball's freshman Saturday starter Michael Senay has now won back-to-back American Conference Pitcher of the Week. He started Game 2 of the weekend series against Rice on Saturday, March 21st.
 
Senay threw for 8.2 innings, one out away from a complete game. He recorded nine strikeouts and allowed just three hits, one walk, and no runs. Senay earned his fourth win of the season and has yet to have a loss. He was also named Saturday's Top Pitcher by Perfect Game.
 
Nathan Earley also received an honorable mention for American Conference Player of the Week. Earley hit a key two-run home run in the third game of the opening conference series against Rice, helping the Bulls earn the series victory. He had four hits and six RBIs total on the week.
 
Entering this week, South Florida is ranked 23rd in the nation according to Perfect Game's Top 25. The Bulls have started the season 20-4 and 2-1 in the American. The Bulls will look to continue excelling this week on the road at FGCU on Tuesday and in the second conference series of the season at Charlotte.
