The Bulls have begun conference play 3-3 and will look to have a winning record after the weekend.

April 01, 2026

TAMPA, Fla. (April 1, 2026) – University of South Florida baseball is ready for the second home conference series of the 2026 season. The Bulls (22-7, 3-3 American) host the Memphis Tigers (9-19, 2-6 American) for a three-game series.

South Florida won its first conference series of the season at home against Rice. Over the weekend, the Bulls lost their first series of the season in a conference matchup at Charlotte. The 3-3 conference record will look to become a winning record after the three-game series with the Tigers.

Setting The Stage:
The Bulls fell to Bethune-Cookman Tuesday night, 6-5. This is South Florida's first home loss to the Wildcats since 2012. Memphis hosted Arkansas State (18-10, 5-4 Sun Belt) for a midweek matchup and was victorious, 11-9. The Tigers' last conference series was at home, welcoming Wichita State (20-10, 4-2 American). The Shockers took the series 2-1, with the Tigers securing Game 2 11-1 in eight innings.

Series History:
The all-time series record is close, with Memphis just barely edging South Florida, 20-18. Last year, the two teams met in Tennessee, and the Bulls took the series 2-1. The Tigers took the final game of the series. The series is tied 8-8 at home in Tampa. Both teams will be in search of owning that all-time record.
