SAN ANTONIO (April 2, 2026) –
Olivia Elliott led the University of South Florida softball team with a two-hit game against UTSA on Thursday. Elliott and
Toryn Fulton each hit a home run as the Bulls (28-11, 10-3 American) defeated the Roadrunners (19-20, 7-6 American) 3-1.
Anne Long pitched her fourth complete game of the season. She allowed one earned run and scattered six hits. She struck out four batters and improved her record to 10-3 this season.
Eliott went 2-for-3 at the plate, hitting a double and her third home run of the season. She extended her hitting streak to five games. She scored a run and drove in another. Fulton led the team with two RBIs, and her two-run homer kept her streak alive at five games.
Karhys Pierce reached base safely in seven straight games after being hit by a pitch.
How It Happened
In the bottom of the second inning, the Bulls stopped a scoring threat by the Roadrunners with one of the craziest double plays you will ever see.
Kathy Garcia-Soto started and finished the double play after multiple rundowns.
Elliott hit the first home run of the game with a solo shot to right-center in the top of the fourth inning.
The Roadrunners tied the game in the bottom of the fourth inning with a solo home run from Brooklynn Meador. The score was 1-1 as the game moved to the fifth inning.
Kiley Strott started the top of the fifth inning with a single to the shortstop.
Cali Chapman pinch ran for Strott. Fulton crushed a no-doubter off the top of the batting cage building in left field. The Bulls took a 3-1 lead into the sixth inning.
