South Florida Softball Earns Top 25 Ranking in Academics

Twenty student-athletes earned Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (August 13, 2026) – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) and Easton announced the 2025-26 Easton/NFCA Team GPA winners and the All-America Scholar-Athletes. The University of South Florida softball team tied for 24th in the NCAA for team GPA, and 20 Bulls earned All-America Scholar-Athlete honors.
The Bulls posted the best GPA in the Sunshine State, at 3.70. Lexi Beldowicz, Cali Chapman, Grace Chin, Abbie DeWaters, Alice DeWaters, Carley Ernst, Toryn Fulton, Alexa Galligani, Ava Galligani, Hannah Marien, Elise McQuiston, Karhys Pierce, Grace Rawn, Belle Sardja, McKenna Schroding, Sydney Shaffer, Kiley Strott, Sam Walz, Jocelyn Wilkes, and Kacey Wilkes all earned Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors.
The Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete Awards recognize student-athletes with a minimum 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Each fall, the NFCA also honors the Top 10 Academic Teams based on overall team GPA, highlighting programs that excel academically.

The South Florida softball program has been one of the most successful on campus, making 19 NCAA tournament appearances, including a trip to the Women's College World Series in 2012. Under head coach Ken Eriksen, who enters his 29th season in 2026 and has accumulated 1,214 wins, ranking seventh among active DI head softball coaches, USF has produced 10 NFCA All-Americans, two USA Softball Top 10 Players of the Year, one NFCA Pitcher of the Year, and one NFCA/Rawlings Gold Glove winner. In 2022, Georgina Corrick became the first player in softball history to earn the NCAA Pitching Triple Crown. She led the nation in ERA (0.51), Victories (37), and total strikeouts (418).
