South Florida Women’s Golf Opens 2026-27 Season at the Canadian Collegiate Invitational

The Bulls will compete for exemptions in two future tournaments
TAMPA, Fla. (September 19, 2026) – The University of South Florida women's golf team begins its third season under Head Coach AJ Newell on Monday, September 21. The Bulls head to Beacon Hall Golf Club in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, for the Canadian Collegiate Invitational.
South Florida women's golfers will compete for exemptions into the LPGA CPKC Open and the Canadian Women's Amateur. The individual winner will receive an exemption into the CPKC Open, while the top five finishers will receive spots in the Canadian Women's Amateur.
Jillian Fatkin, Aliya Liberatore, Cherry Marley, Laura Nepper, and Duda Rocha will represent the Bulls at the Canadian Collegiate. South Florida will be joined by Auburn, Kent State, Maryland, Michigan, Tennessee, University of British Columbia, UCLA, UNC-Wilmington, UTSA, and Virginia.
The Beacon Hall Golf Club is a 6,272-yard, par-72 course. Live results can be found here. Tee times will be announced on Sunday.

About South Florida Women's Golf
Tampa native AJ Newell, a former LPGA Tour Player and NCAA All-American, enters her third season as head coach of USF women's golf. In her first season, she coached Leonor Medeiros to the American All-Conference Team. Newell coached the Bulls to four top-10 finishes in the 2024-25 season.
Newell took over leadership of the Bulls' program following a successful three-year stint as assistant coach at the University of Michigan, where she helped guide the Wolverines to three straight NCAA Regional appearances, a 2022 Big Ten title, and a trip to the 2022 NCAA Championship Finals.
