AS A SENIOR (2020): Appeared in 11 games while making five starts…drew three walks at the plate…as a pitcher he appeared in two games out of the bullpen.

AS A JUNIOR (2019): Played in 49 games, starting 44 mostly in right field…Hit .234 in first season in Tampa with three home runs, six doubles, 20 RBI and 19 runs…Recorded 10 multi-hit games…Went 2-for-2 with a homer, a double, two runs and two RBI against Liberty (3/8)…Went 2-for-5 with a home run and a season best four RBI against Dartmouth (3/16)…Had a pair of two-hit games, once against ECU (3/30) and against FGCU (4/2).

AS A SOPHOMORE (2018 at Santa Fe CC): Appeared in 19 games, totaling 19 plate appearances playing for coach Johnny Wiggs...Scored 13 runs and drove in 12 on two doubles and three home runs...Also worked 16 walks and stole seven bases...Had three multi-hit games...Best game came against Eastern Florida State College on Feb. 16, when he went 2-for-5 with two home runs and five RBI.

AS A FRESHMAN (2017 at Florida): Played sparingly as a true freshman, appearing in eight games with no starts…Went 1-for-7 at the dish with one RBI…First career hit and RBI came against USF on May 9…Made one appearance on the mound as a freshman, allowing up two runs in one inning of work.

HIGH SCHOOL: Selected in the 24th round of the 2016 MLB First-Year Player Draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates…Ranked as the No. 8 player in New Jersey and the No. 4 right-handed pitcher in the state by Perfect Game…Batted .412 with eight home runs and 83 runs scored during high school career, playing for coach Frank Salvano at St. Joseph Regional...On the mound he had a 14-5 record with 129 strikeouts…Named the Big North Conference Player of the Year and First Team All-State as a senior by NJ.com…Named to the 2016 Rawlings-Perfect Game Preseason Northeast Region First Team…Led St. Joseph’s to a 25-4 record, Bergen County Tournament title and the North Jersey, Non-Public A final…As a senior, he finished with a 5-1 record and totaled 60 strikeouts in 36 innings…Batted .370 with two home runs and 28 runs scored, mostly batting in the leadoff spot and playing second base…Named All-Tournament at the PG WWBA World Championships in Jupiter, Fla., playing with the Midland Redskins…Named to the Top Prospect Team at the PG National Showcase in Fort Myers…As a junior, hit .467 with three home runs, seven doubles and 36 runs scored…Did not pitch until his sophomore year of high school and went 7-1 with a 0.97 earned run average in his first season on the mound while leading his team to the Non-Public A title game…Helped Saint Joseph Regional H.S. win the New Jersey state sectional championship in 2014…Also played football in high school and was the starting safety on the varsity squad as a sophomore for a team that won the Non-Public Group 3 title. 

PERSONAL: Born Austin James Bodrato on Feb. 5, 1997 in Suffern N.Y. ...Parents are Jimmie Bodrato and AnnMarie Weiss...Has two sisters, one that teaches and one that is a hair dresser in New York City...Baseball has been in his family blood...His uncle Walt Weiss played at the University of North Carolina and was selected in the first round (11th overall) by the Oakland A’s in the 1985 MLB June Amateur Draft; he played professionally for 14 seasons... He was the 1988 Rookie of the Year, a National League All-Star in 1998 and won the World Series with Oakland in 1989 before managing the Rockies from 2013-16...His cousin, Brent Weiss, was selected by the Rockies in the 47th round of the 2005 MLB June Amateur Draft...Cousin, Brody Weiss, was also chosen by the Rockies in the 22nd round of the 2013 MLB Draft...Cousin, Bo Weiss is a pitcher at the University of Tampa.
