Jordan Schaffer serves as the Director of Player Development for the baseball program, bringing experience from his time as a graduate assistant at South Florida. In his first season on Head Coach Mitch Hannahs’ staff, Schaffer contributed to a successful year in which the Bulls achieved their best regular-season finish in the American since 2018, increased their win total by five games, and saw three players selected in the MLB Draft. In year two, the Bulls achieved a winning record of 32-21. He earned his bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and Sport Management from Indiana State University and later completed a master’s degree in Physical Education at South Florida.
Schaffer is originally from West Terre Haute, Indiana, and played under coach Hannahs at Indiana State. Schaffer earned First Team All-Missouri Valley Conference honors and was one of the league’s top offensive performers. He hit .367 in 2021 to lead the conference in batting average and followed with a .320 season in 2022, earning all-conference recognition again.
