2024 (USF): Played in 53 games and made 52 starts…started 32 games at second base and 20 at first base…led the team in RBI (41) and ranked third in batting average (.309)…tallied 13 doubles, eight homers, 20 walks and scored 37 runs…posted a .386 OBP and slugged .500…went 7-for-11 in stolen base attempts…led the team with 20 multi-hit games and 11 multi-RBI games...recorded a four-hit game at UNF (3/5)…hit a grand slam and collected five RBI vs. Memphis (3/23)…longest hitting streak (8 games) and longest reached base streak (17).
2023 (USF): Played in 53 games and made 51 starts in his first season at USF…batted .274 with 10 doubles, seven homers and 26 RBI…scored 31 runs…went 5-for-8 in stolen base attempts…slugged .431 and tallied a .342 OBP…hit a walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth inning against Army (3/17)…homered in back-to-back games vs. Army (3/17-18)…hit six home runs over a 10-game span from 3/12-3/26…recorded 16 multi-hit games and four multi-RBI efforts…season-tallied a season-high three hits six times…season-best three RBI two times…posted a season-best 10-game hitting streak from 3/25-4/7.
2022 (UCF): Appeared in 21 games and made four starts...went 4-for-22 at the plate with one RBI...had a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage.
2021 (UCF): Played in 54 games (44 starts) as a true freshman...was one of three freshmen on the team to make 40 starts and appear in more than 50 games...batted .275 with 10 doubles, three homers, 18 runs scored and 29 RBI...went 3-for-6 in stolen base attempts...first collegiate home run came against USF in Tampa (4/1)...his 10 doubles tied for second on the team.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Leadership Christian Academy in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico...ranked the No. 40 incoming freshman on the Perfect Game Top 500...named to the 2020 Perfect Game World Showcase Top Prospect List...named to the Perfect Game 2020 Preseason First Team All-Region Team in the Canada/Puerto Rico Region.
PERSONAL: Born August 27 in Bayamon, Puerto Rico...son of Maria Torres...has a brother, Andres...his father, Johnny, played baseball and Rider University (N.J.) and mother played college softball in Puerto Rico...plans to study communications at USF...grew up with teammate Nelson Rivera in Puerto Rico...the two have known each other since they were seven years old, both attended Leadership Christian Academy, and have a long history of playing baseball on the same team and against each other.
