2026 (SOUTH FLORIDA): Smith emerged as a key arm in the Bulls’ rotation in his first season with the program, making eight starts among his 16 appearances. He was named the American Conference Pitcher of the Week on April 20. Smith went 4-3 on the year with a 4.24 ERA across 46.2 innings. He was one of the team's most prolific strikeout pitchers, fanning 52 batters at a rate of 10.0 per nine innings. He held opposing batters to a .232 average. Smith showed a strong ability to work out of the stretch, limiting batters with runners on base to a .247 average. He was one of the team's most reliable starters down the stretch.
