2023 (USF): Made 21 appearances on the mound and 10 starts…went 1-5 with a 5.43 ERA (34 ER/56.1 IP) and 57 strikeouts…earned the win against Pitt (3/14) after striking out a career-high 10 batters and allowing one run on five hits over 6.0 IP…was named the AAC Pitcher of the Week following tht start...struck out nine batters over 4.0 IP vs. FGCU (4/25)…tossed six scoreless innings against No. 15 ECU (5/19)…logged five scoreless outings.
2022 (USF): Tied for the team lead with 22 appearances on the mound in his first season at USF…went 3-2 with a 5.12 ERA…struck out 27 batters over 31.2 IP…made 12 scoreless appearances…three appearances with three strikeouts…logged 2.2 IP in two different outings…tossed at least 2.0 IP eight times…picked up his first USF win vs. Bradley (3/11).
2020 (TCU): Did not see any game action as a true freshman…named to the Big 12 All-Academic Team.
HIGH SCHOOL: Coached by Greg Olsen at Calvary Christian and won a State Championship in 2017 & 2019…named the Florida 4A State Player of the Year in 2017 & 2019…selected as the Pinellas County Pitcher of the Year by the Tampa Bay Times following his junior and senior campaigns…2017-19 MaxPreps All-American, 2017-19 All-County…2018 USA Today First Team All-American…2019 team captain…owned a 34-0 record as a starting pitcher…only prep loss came in a relief appearance…recorded a 0.54 ERA with 312 strikeouts over 206.2 IP…also letter one year in bowling.
PERSONAL: Born July 25 in Buffalo, New York…moved to Florida when he was four years old...nickname “Houdini”...son of Kerry and Kevin…named to 13 all-tournament teams as part of the Florida Burn travel team…Roy Halladay (2x Cy Young/8x MLB All-Star) was his pitching coach for one season at Calvary HS...switched his jersey to No. 34 in 2023 when it became available for Nolan Ryan and Roy Halladay...hobbies include golf, bowling, surfing, cooking…he is an MMA enthusiast…majoring in economics.
