HIGH SCHOOL: Coached by Chuck Schall at Olympia High School in Orlando… Earned All-Metro First Team honors in each of his first three varsity seasons prior to the shortened 2020 campaign… Had a career .388 batting average through his first three seasons along with 12 doubles, five triples and 38 runs… Strong student who posted a weighted cumulative GPA of 4.6 (3.8 unweighted) and was on the honor roll all four years.

PERSONAL: Born Nov. 9, 2001 in Lexington, Ky. … Lived in Kentucky until moving to Orlando at age 15… Son of Mitzi and David Lakes… Has an older brother, Mac, and a younger brother, Luke… Involved with the Second Harvest Food Bank community service project at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Orlando… Played travel ball with the Orlando Scorpions… Plans to major in biomedical sciences… Enjoys playing video games, basketball, and spending time with family and friends.
