Philip Perry joined the Fishman Family Student-Athlete Enrichment Center Academic Services team in April 2023. He currently serves as the Academic Coordinator for men’s baseball and football.
Philip earned his Bachelor’s degree in English Creative Writing with a minor in American Studies from UNC Charlotte in 2017. While at Charlotte, he played four years of division one baseball with the Charlotte 49ers as a pitcher. He continued attending Charlotte, earning his Master of Arts degree in English Creative Writing while working as a GA Academic Advisor for the men’s football team in 2019. From there, he earned his Master of Fine Arts degree in Fiction from New Mexico State University in 2023. While at New Mexico, he worked as a GA instructor, teaching undergraduate courses in Creative Writing, English Composition, Writing for the Humanities, and Technical Writing.

Philip is a native of North Carolina and grew up in Charlotte. He is married to Alana Perry and together, they have two Mini-Aussies: Luna and Padfoot. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and fur babies, working out, and writing on his novel and short stories.
