American All-Conference Second Team (C, 2026)
2026 (SOUTH FLORIDA): Trippel was the unquestioned leader behind the plate, earning himself a spot on the American All-Conference second team. He started 46 of his 48 games at catcher and served as the defensive anchor for a staff that finished with a 4.63 ERA. He batted .304 with 31 runs and 29 RBI, adding 13 doubles and three home runs. He had a 26-game reached base streak, the longest of any Bull during the 2026 season, and the longest since 2021. Defensively, he compiled 325 putouts and 26 assists with a .989 fielding percentage, threw out 13 of 59 base stealers, and turned three double plays.
2025 (SOUTH FLORIDA): Started in 51 games in 2025, batting .249 (46-for-185) with 37 runs scored, 31 RBI, and 10 stolen bases…recorded 26 walks and five hit by pitches for a .353 on-base percentage and .395 slugging percentage…posted seven doubles, one triple, and six home runs…season-high three hits at Florida (5/6)…tallied two doubles at UAB (3/23) and a triple against Maryland (3/14)…belted a home run and drove in a season-high three runs at Wichita State (4/27)…scored three runs at Memphis (4/4)…stole a season-best two bases against Iowa (2/14)…notched four assists at Georgia Southern (2/23) and a career-high 15 putouts versus UTSA (5/2).
2024 (FSU): Member of Florida State's College World Series team...played in 13 games and went 2-for-8 at the plate with one RBI and one walk...recorded the Seminole's only walk-off hit of the year, a single in the 11th inning to beat Jacksonville, 7-6 (5/7).
2023 (FSU): Played 17 games with six starts, hitting .231 (6-for-26)…two RBI and two runs scored, with one walk…two sacrifice flies…career-high three hits and two runs against Boston College (3/17)…had two hits in the sixth inning against the Eagles, when FSU scored 10 runs, its most in a frame since 2017…made FSU debut against James Madison (2/19), drawing a walk…made first career start against USF (3/1)…split time between the outfield and catcher…two hits against Bethune-Cookman (3/7)…played summer ball with the Kenosha Kingfish in the Northwoods League, hitting .278 with a .405 on-base percentage…Northwoods League All-Star...11 extra-base hits and 20 RBI for the Kingfish.
PERSONAL: Born on September 22...son of Greg and Kim...his mother was on the rowing team at Indiana...named All-State as a high school senior after batting .395 with 12 doubles and 21 RBI...also played football in high school, earning All-Area honors and originally accepted a football scholarship to West Florida.
