Jacqui Grant joined the South Florida athletics department in August of 2022 as Director of Basketball Administration & Content. In her current role, Grant serves as the liaison between the men’s and women’s basketball programs and the department’s senior staff and creative team.

No stranger to USF, Grant returns for the second time after serving as a graduate assistant from 2017-19. Upon finishing her undergraduate degree at DePaul, where she played for Hall of Fame coach Doug Bruno, she assisted with the day-to-day operations both on the court and behind the scenes, assisting coach Jose Fernandez and his staff with recruiting tasks, game statistics, video operations, travel, and on-court duties. Grant brought a wealth of collegiate playing experience after spending two seasons with the Blue Demons.

Most recently, Grant came to South Florida after spending over two seasons as an assistant coach at the University of Nebraska Omaha where she worked with former Bulls’ assistant coach and current UNO Head Coach Carrie Banks since July of 2020.

Prior to UNO, Grant was the video coordinator of coach Doug Bruno’s staff at DePaul for the 2019-20 season.

A native of Chicago, Grant played her first two collegiate seasons at Illinois after a highly successful high school career at Maine South. She transferred to DePaul and played her final two seasons with the Blue Demons.

During her collegiate career, Grant was the BIG EAST Co-Defensive Player of the Year in 2017 and started in all 35 games for the Blue Demons. As a senior, she led the BIG EAST in blocks and joined the 1,000-point club for her career. Grant earned All-BIG EAST First Team honors as a senior in 2017 after averaging 11.8 points and 8.5 rebounds per game.

Grant was a two-time member of the BIG EAST All-Academic Team, and a two-time member of the Big Ten All-Academic Team. As a junior, she earned DePaul’s Shirley Becker Academic Award and Pat Ewers Unsung Hero award. She was a four-year starter at two major programs in Illinois.\

She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in physical education in 2017 from DePaul and in 2019 from South Florida.
