Matthew Parke

Matthew Parke enters his 2nd year at the University of South Florida as an Assistant Athletic Trainer. His primary sport responsibility is Men’s Soccer. In this role, he provides injury evaluation, therapeutic intervention strategies, and collaborative sports medicine care for the athletes under his care.

Matthew comes to USF after finishing his Graduate Assistantship at the University of Hawai’i at Manoa. While at UH, Matthew primarily worked with the UH Women’s Cross Country and Track & Field programs with secondary responsibilities with UH Football.

While with the UH Cross Country and Track & Field programs, Matthew managed and organized the healthcare 40+ student-athletes and coordinated high-level injury prevention and management protocols. Additionally, he helped with the testing, monitoring, and contact tracing of COVID-19 within his team. With football, Parke provided sideline coverage of competitions & practices and treated acute injuries, heat illnesses, and emergencies. Matthew graduated from University of Hawai’i at Manoa in 2022 with his Master of Science in Physical Activity.

Before beginning his career at UH, Parke attended Purdue University. As an Athletic Training Student, he worked with the Purdue Football and Men's Basketball programs. Additionally, Matthew completed an NFL Summer Internship with the Detroit Lions in 2019. Outside of athletics, Matthew also spent time at the Purdue University Student Health Physical Therapy Clinic. He graduated from Purdue University in 2020 with his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training.

Matthew is a BOC Certified Athletic trainer. He holds additional certifications in CPR/AED technique and is a QPR Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper. He enjoys playing basketball, golf, and hiking in his spare time.
