Indoor: Made his collegiate debut at the Corky Classic and threw for 17.71m (58-1.25) in shot put... Finished 11th at the Razorback Invitational in shot put with a throw of 16.45m (53-11.75)... Registered a shot put mark of 17.02m (55-10.25) at the Tyson Invitational.

Outdoor: Placed second in the shot put at the UTSA Invitational with a mark of 17.64m (57-10.50) and sixth in the discus with a throw of 52.95m (173-9) ... Posted a personal-best throw of 54.28m (178-1) at the Texas Relays for the top throw of the day, and finished sixth in the shot put with a heave of 17.18m (56-4.50) ...
