• Was a BIG EAST qualifier in both the 110-meter and 400-meter hurdles after running a 55.05 in the 400-meter hurdles at the USF Open and a 15.31 in the 110-meter at the Sea Ray Relays meet
• Set a new PR in the 110-meter hurdles at the UNF Invite (March 5), running a time of 15.01
• Set a new PR in the 400-meter hurdles at the USF Invite (April 1), running a time of 53.02
• Placed 10th in both hurdle events at the BIG EAST Championships (May 7)

• Competed in the 400m dash and 60-meter hurdles for the Bulls
• Was a BIG EAST qualifier in the 60-meter hurdles after running a 8.42 at the Minnesota Invite (1/22)
• Set a new PR in the 60-meter hurdles at Penn State when he ran a 8.41 in the prelims to take ninth
• In the 400m dash, set a new PR at Penn State's Sykes-Sabock Challenge Cup (2/5) with a time of 50.27 to take 20th place
• Earlier in the season at Minnesota, ran a time of 50.79 in the 400m dash

• Won 2009 AAU National Championship at Disney in the 400-Meter Hurdles and named All-American
• AAAA State qualifier in both the 110mH and 300mH and won second place in both competitions in 2010
• Set a PR in both events at the state championship, running a 14.14 (110mH) and 36.85 (300mH)
• Ranked no. 1 in his home country of Colombia in the 400mH in the Junior Category
• Placed second at the Golden South Classic in 2010, running a PR of 52.71 in the 400mH
• Ranked 6th in the nation in the 300mH and 7th in the 400mH at the end of the 2010 season
• Qualified for the AAU Junior Olympics and the USATF National Championship three consecutive years (2008-10)
• Named Athlete of the Week by the Orlando Sentinel for breaking a 15-year old record in the 300mH at the Elite Classic
• Earned four varsity letters in track and field

• Father, Jaime, played semi-professional basketball in Colombia and was named the best player in Colombia in the early 1980s
