Pole Vault - 12' 6'' ... Ranked as third-best pole vaulter coming out of Florida...As a senior, Lydon won 13 pole vault events, set the school record for pole vaulting, and won the FHSAA 3A State Championship...Set new meet records at both the 3A Regional and Districts Championships...Field event team captain...Junior season cut short due to COVID-19, but still competed in eight meets...As a sophomore in 2019, finished third in the state meet after finishing runner-up at FHSAA 3A Region 3 meet...Won the AAU Region 9 Qualifier in Kissimmee...Placed second in the AAU National Club Championship and then 15th in the AAU Junior Olympic Games...Won six pole vault meets in 2019 outdoor season...In 2018 as a freshman, finished second in the AAU Region 9 Qualifier and won the AAU National Club Championship...Named Gaither HS MVP Varsity Track after qualifying for Regionals in the 4x800, 4x400, 800, and Pole Vault..Also competed in distance, hurdles, long jump and 400/800 races...Started her athletic career as a gymnast for USAG Competitive Gymnastics...Was involved in many clubs including NHS, BETA, FBLA (vice president), Engineering / Robotics club (officer position), honor roll.
